This being my first article as a blogger, I neither expect
it to be a bombshell and well taken by those keen nor do I expect it to be
poorly viewed.
Having been a lover of historical occurrences, tonnes of
movies either fictional, the documentary kind or just talk shows set seem to cross my mind; from the oldest set to
the current. I also don’t mean not to be
rude but, I’m not going to list a few; rather I’ll just go straight to the
point.
The Spartacus Trilogy, you might think that’s genius but,
any reasonable person can come up with such a title for a three season movie,
event or occasion.
For learners, trilogy refers to a set of three works of art
that are connected, and that can be seen either as single works or as three
individual works. Commonly, found in
literature, film or video games. While, Spartacus
was a prominent leader of the slaves in the third servile war, a major slave
uprising against the Roman Republic.
Having keenly, and repeatedly watched the three seasonal
movies; Blood and sand, Gods of the Arena and lastly, vengeance; I’d settle for
the third season in this article.
Spartacus Vengeance, another starz original series with ten
episodes accorded to its title.
Title Analysis
1.
Fugitivus
Based on the days after Spartacus successfully guided other
gladiators and slaves out of the lodus into the sewers. Spartacus and Crixus train other slaves and
gladiators with them.
Spartacus is obsessed with vengeance against Glaber for the
demise of his long gone love(), while Crixus is hopeful of finding Naevia, the love of his love.
Glaber Praetor is commanded to Capua by his father-in-law to
track down Spartacus and his horde of gladiators. He brings his wife, Illithyia along.
Oenomaus(Doctore) doesn’t associate himself with other freed
gladiators and feels guilty for the demise of Batiatus.
The Gladaiators save Aurelia from the wrath of Glaber, but
she later dies.
2.
A place in these world
Lucreatia, who was thought to have been killed by the gladiators
earlier is alive and she claims to have some sought of connection to the gods.
Oenomaus returns to fight in the pits as a way of relieving
himself the guilt he feels, he’s later taken captive by Ashur, and presented to
Glaber as a gift from the gods.

The Greater Good
Spartacus continues saving more slaves.
Agron and Nasir discover that Naevia is alive but, chose to
lie to Crixus.
Ashur reveals to Oenomaus that Gannicus and Melitta(Oenomaus
wife) once had a relationship in an effort for him to reveal the location of
the other gladiators.

Hands
Naevia is saved from the mines, while Crixus and a few other
gladiators are capured in pursuit out of the mines.

Libertus
Spartacus with the help of a few gladiators ambushes the
arena and save two of their own who were captured by the Roman soldiers.

Wrath of Gods
When the Romans think they have gotten holden of the slaves,
and in time will have them all on their knees;
Spartacus comes up with a plan that see’s the Romans fall on their knees
and their rule come to an end.
My Opinion:
In my own opinions,
the movie is worth to watch, besides the few sexual scenes it also tends
to have a moral lesson;
“Together we are stronger apart we are nothing in anything
we put our minds to.”
On a rating scale of ten, I’d give it eight.
Any more critism and scrutiny of the movie is aloud below.
